Why Vanderbilt Owen and Nashville Stand Out in 2026

One of Owen’s most distinctive advantages is that it offers a more intimate MBA experience in a city with real economic energy. Nashville gives students access to a growing corporate and healthcare ecosystem, while the school’s smaller size creates closer relationships with classmates, faculty, coaches, and alumni. That combination can be especially attractive for applicants who want strong support and visibility rather than a more anonymous MBA environment.
Owen also stands out because its MBA is built to be shaped around the student. The school emphasizes a personalized approach, 1:1 career coaching, leadership development, and a curriculum that can be customized through concentrations, specializations, and emphases. The result is an MBA that feels more tailored and hands-on than programs that rely on a more one-size-fits-all model.

Yes.

Healthcare is one of Owen’s clearest strengths, and the concentration is positioned as rigorous, immersive, and unusually well developed. If healthcare is part of your story, you should be explicit about why Owen’s approach stands out for your goals.business.vanderbilt+1
