The main reasons for a rejection letter from MBA programs are often not explicitly detailed by admissions committees, leaving candidates with little explanation. However, a Kaplan Test Prep survey of 140 admissions committees revealed insights into these reasons. The survey also indicated a trend of increased acceptance for candidates from Exact Sciences backgrounds (science, engineering, and mathematics) in recent years, with 54% of surveyed schools accepting more such candidates. For instance, Harvard's 2015 class included 39% from Exact Sciences, up from 34% the previous year.
