MBA candidates usually apply for an MBA several years after completing their undergraduate degree. However, sometimes people get an MBA degree at their home country and then apply for additional MBA at a top business school abroad. Applying for a second MBA when you already have an MBA degree may enhance your business knowledge and boost your career.

If you are considering getting a second MBA degree, keep in mind that you may not be eligible to apply for an additional MBA at a top ranked business school if you already have a prior MBA. Take a look at the table below to learn which schools may accept you if you already have a prior MBA.

Stanford UniversityYes” Even if you already have an MBA, you are welcome to apply. You should first review our course offerings to see how repetitive our program would be. Should you decide to apply, it is best to include a compelling reason as to why you wish to earn a second MBA from the Stanford GSB. In no way does already having an MBA put you at a disadvantage in the evaluation process. Please note that courses taken from another institution are not transferrable. You can see the MBA curriculum on the GSB website and course descriptions at www.explorecourses.stanford.edu.”
