Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 coronavirus, GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council) have announced that they will start offering the GMAT test at home as early as mid-April. The first “home tests” will be available on April 20. The GMAT test can be taken on both Mac and PC platforms, with a reduced cost of $200.
The test will be identical to the current GMAT test, with the exception of the analytical writing assignment, which will be omitted. Other than that, the structure, length and scoring will be the same. Remote proctors will be monitoring tests and improved check-in and security will be employed for at home test-takers.
The GMAC are working hard to ensure that the test will be able to be taken by all students who want and need, regardless of location. For more information and updates check https://www.gmac.com/why-gmac/gmac-news/gmac-press-releases/message-from-gmac-leadership.
